Sun, waves, hot weather.

Good company.

Positive vibes.

If I had to put my trips to Fuerteventura in 4 lines, that would be it.

Fuerteventura is one of the Canary Islands, which belong to Spain. Geographically located close to North Africa, these volcanic islands are beautiful, and the weather is fantastic all year long.

The winter in Europe can get pretty rough, depending where you are (Austria, Germany, U.K…)

Just thinking about getting on a plane for two hours and adding some heat degrees and sun rays makes me smile already!

This is the feeling you need to start packing and off to the sun!

I keep on coming back whenever I need a ‘Winter Break’.

Fuerteventura is the second largest island, after Tenerife. The capital is Puerto del Rosario, where you land when you arrive.

Then you can decide to go North or South.

The South has nice beach walks and trails.  The long sandy beaches, like Costa Calma, are gorgeous, and enjoyable all year long.

In the North you will find a nice fishermen town, Corralejo.

Around it there are very beautiful spots, like the sand dunes or the different surf breaks.

From Corralejo you have many day-trip options as well! You can go to Isla de Lobos, (Lobos Island in English). This tiny island is perfect for a day trip. It was named after the monk seals that used to live there when the Island was discovered.

Also you can visit Lanzarote, which is a boat hop away!

Isla de Lobos on the North

Besides of being a beautiful destination to relax, Fuerte is a great spot to surf, kitesurfing and other adventurous sports! Around the North there are many surf breaks.

My winter breaks include always a surf trip, by the hand of Homegrown Surf School every time I come!

The people you meet here, and the adventures you can enjoy are incredible…!

I am amazed to meet people from all around Europe united together surfing, cooking and going out…

Stay warm!🤗
